Welcome

MISSION: To provide a safe environment for healing through compassion and support for one's personal wellness by restoring balance and wholeness.

ABOUT CHRISTY

Hello, my name is Christy! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your healing journey. My philosophy on health is that balance keeps us whole and the best way to finding balance is to treat the root problem. With the wear and tear of life and daily stresses, our bodies fall out of balance and into a state of survival. We need self-care, tools, and support to help undo the tangled web that can cause pain, discomfort, or disease in the body. My hope is that acupuncture and energy medicine can be methods that help you find balance and wholeness again.

I earned a Master’s degree in 2014 from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine (formerly SIOM) studying Acupuncture, Chinese and Japanese Meridian theory, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, bodywork, moxibustion, nutritional therapy, and Qigong. My training gave me a great foundation in helping my patients uncover their unique imbalance using the Meridian system and guiding them to wellness. My treatments focus on the whole body – the mind, body, spirit, and emotion. My job is to help you find the inner healer within yourself and help you feel empowered to take control of your health and well-being through education and guidance.

“Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.” - B.K.S. Iyengar

SERVICES

ACUPUNCTURE

A healing method that uses fine, sterilized, stainless-steel needles that are gently inserted into the skin to stimulate acupuncture points. Acupuncture points connect to larger meridians within the body that promote the free flow of Qi or energy and reduces stagnation and pain. Scientific research studies have found that the insertion of fine needles into acupuncture points uses the same internal pathways as the parasympathetic nervous system, which puts our body into the state of rest and balance. These pathways also trigger natural dopamine stimulation that decreases pain responses in the body. Acupuncture also promotes local and systemic blood circulation and speeds the healing process of inflammation that can help a variety of health conditions.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Widely tested herbal remedies that can address a variety of conditions including colds/flus, musculoskeletal pain, digestive complaints, stress, insomnia, and menstrual disorders. These herbal formulas are customized to each patient’s unique condition and constitution using a mix of over 350 plants, minerals, and other organic materials. Herbs can be taken internally or externally. Internally, herbs are prescribed as a tea either from raw, powdered, or granulated herbs. Teapills or capsules are also available. Life Seed Acupuncture offers herbs in granulated and pill form. All herbal products have undergone high standard quality assurance and testing. Tests include analysis for heavy metals, dangerous pesticides, and sulfur dioxide.

CUPPING

A healing therapy that uses small glass or plastic cups on the skin with vacuum suction. This method helps increase blood circulation, breaks stagnation and deep muscle tensions, and removes toxins in the body. This suction therapy may create light bruising on the skin that will last for a few days.

QI GONG - MEDITATION

Meditation and movement therapy that combines breathing exercises and visualization to promote the cultivation of Qi or energy. It also moves energy throughout the entire body and releases tension patterns in our muscles and posture over time.
